Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons loose black tea or 2 black tea bags
  • 1 small cinnamon stick or ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 2 thin slices of orange peel no white pith
  • 2 cups water
  • Honey or sugar to taste – optional
  • A small pinch of nutmeg optional

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

  • Wash your orange and carefully peel two small strips. Make sure you don’t take too much of the white pith—it can make the tea bitter.

Step 2: Boil The Spices

  • Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan and drop in the cinnamon stick and cloves. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes to really let those flavors steep into the water.

Step 3: Add The Orange Peel And Tea

  • Once the water has simmered with the spices, add your orange peel and black tea. Turn off the heat and cover the pot. Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Step 4: Strain And Serve

  • Strain the tea into cups. Add honey or sugar if you like a sweeter drink. Sip and enjoy the flavor—that mix of citrus and spice is what makes Constant Comment so comforting.
