Get started by bringing 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
Crush Coriander Seeds:
While the water is heating up, take 2 tablespoons of coriander seeds and give them a good crush.
For this step, you can use a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle. We want to release all those lovely oils and flavors!
Add Coriander Seeds:
Once your water is bubbling away, toss in those crushed coriander seeds.
Simmer:
Now, turn the heat down to low and let those seeds simmer in the water for about 5 minutes. This gives them plenty of time to infuse their deliciousness into the water.
Strain:
After the simmering is done, take the saucepan off the heat and strain out the seeds. We want a nice, smooth tea without any bits floating around.
Sweeten (Optional):
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, go ahead and add some honey or sugar to your taste. Give it a good stir to make sure everything’s nicely blended.
