Ingredients

  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup eggnog;
  • ½ cup milk any kind – I use whole milk or oat milk
  • 1 –2 teaspoons sugar optional, adjust to taste
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon optional topping

Instructions

Step 1: Brew The Chai Tea

  • First boil 1 cup of water. When it is hot steep for about 4–5 minutes the tea bags of chai, because you want to brew it strongly to mellow it later with the evogn and milk. Keep your mug or teapot covered while the tea steeps to keep it hot and lock the flavors in.

Step 2: Heat The Eggnog And Milk

  • Put in a small saucepan 1 cup of eggnog and ½ cup of milk. Heat it over medium-low heat and stir occasionally. But do not let it boil just let it warm until it starts steaming. Tip: If you have a milk frother or an ordinary whisk, take it out now and prepare that foamy top, café style. Needn’t do though, just added touch.

Step 3: Combine And Sweeten

  • Once the chai is brewed and the eggnog milk mix is hot, pour the tea into two mugs. Now slowly pour in the warm eggnog mixture and stir well to incorporate.
  • Taste the latte and sweeten it with 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar if necessary. That may or may not be necessary since some eggnogs are already very sweet.

Step 4: Garnish And Serve

  • Top your mug with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or, if you wish, a sprinkle of nutmeg. It really brings everything together with that little spice on top.
  • Drink hot and savor the moment!
